Suggestions for a D-SLR camera?
I am a beginner – intermediate photographer and would like to improve. I have several books, magazines, etc. on art photography, so I know the basics and a little more. At this point I have a Polaroid i834 8.0 megapixel digital camera, and it worked for me for a while. However, since I want to improve my photography and images that I am thinking of buying a D-SLR camera. Does anyone have any suggestions for a camera would be good for the level I am and I leave some room for improvement, and one that does not cost too much? Thanks!
I can not say enough good things about my experience with my Rebel XT. The autofocus is fast, has a very strong image and is easy to use … and is inexpensive. At this point the current model T1i is called Rebel, and the money I'd say it's a steal. What I found is that all of the current generation Canon D-SLR cameras give a great image. The differences between the models is largely not the image itself, but the build quality of the body. Models of major end use of magnesium alloy support harsh conditions such as falling, etc Higher end models also include a more advanced and faster autofocus. The structure used T1i metal, but is covered in plastic. That does not mean it is of poor quality, but that's where reducing costs. As to leave room for improvement, I won life with this camera. I'd say that speaks so much of what is capable. With that being said, this is not the camera is used … it is the wearer. You can do anything given the right tools. And I too will stress the importance of using a nice lens. That's something you'll want to consider in the future. Good luck!
