Blogger Photography
Need blogging help please?
I want to start a photography blog, here is my dilemma.. I want large photos verses the sizes offered with blogger. Is there a way or a setting I can change to get a blog with larger photos? (I have reduced the file sizes so they load quickly but I just want them to go across the screen left to right instead of these puny photos).
I don’t want viewers to have to click the photo to see it larger. I want it to be large on the page.
If you used a custom Blogger template, you could probably include very large images in your blog’s layout. However, it is not normal to do that. Web users are used to galleries where you see a thumbnail view that you have to click on. A page with many very large images will load very slowly, even for broadband users. Users won’t like at all!
I would suggest using Flickr to store your photos. Flickr has a really cool API. You could embed a thumbnail gallery on your blog that people could follow over to Flickr. Flickr will let you organize your photos into sets and tag them with keywords.
