Great Photography Tips

Does anybody have any photography tips? (the only model I have is myself) lol?

I love to take pictures to get great effects and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas…?

A couple of winters ago it was cold out, and I had no models to shoot. I looked into macro photography (the art of shooting small objects close up). I bought myself a Tamron 90mm Macro lens and a small tripod. Many digicams also have the capability to shoot in macro mode.

…pencil tips, eraser tips, sea shells, nuts, candles, food of all types, tools and hardware (nuts, bolts, screwdriver tip twisting a screw into wood, etc…), marbles, a watch, colorful thumb tack assortment, electronic boards, stacks of books, closeup of a person’s eyeball, Lips, ear with nice earring, etc…

These things might seem mundane to shoot. The real challenge is the lighting, DOF, backgrounds, and making the items look artistically interesting. It’s not as simple as it looks, so I have learned a great deal about lighting, composition, product photography, food photography, and macro photography all at once.
