Masters Programs Photography
Indiana University- Bloomington Masters in Fine Arts MFA?
I’ve done a little research on-line but was wondering if anyone could tell me a little more about the program, maybe a student, grad, or anyone that is willing to do a little research. A few answers I haven’t found yet:
* Admissions acceptance % – acceptance opposed to denial
* Maybe some pointers at what they might be looking for in a photography portfolio
* GPA requirements
* Attitude of professors – this will make or break my decision. I would like to attend a grad school that the professors genuinely care about their students succeeding. Unfortunately I’ve come across many arrogant art professors (which I know sometimes it’s unavoidable), but I want to know their are a few professors in the department that will critic my work with good intentions. Thanks so much for your help!
If you can, make a week-long visit to the campus while classes are in session. Talk with as many grad students and faculty members as you can and sit in on as many classes as you can.
I was thinking about attending a graduate school at Harvard. I flew from California to visit. After three days of attending classes and listening to professors stumble through lectures in which they had to ask for volunteers from the class to help them out, I decided that I could learn more at the University of California, Berkeley, and I did.
