Photography For Dummies Book
Best resource for independent professionals and small business owners at home?
I'm starting to do freelance photography work. The Marketing part I can handle, but the business / tax side is a nightmare. What is the best resource for small businesses, taxes, etc? I need something that breaks it down step by step. Seriously damaged. Something simpler than the Dummies books, lol.
I do not know if they still do, but had Quickbooks Free accounting software for small businesses with basic accounting needs. They also have good information on companies. There are plenty www.sba.gov of independent websites and online "communities" where you can get information. GoSmallBiz is a good resource too. You can access information and consultants in all areas of business. Legal, insurance, tax, accounting, marketing, HR, sales, etc. There is a monthly fee for it though.
