commission sales pays what %?
I have a photography business and am looking for a sales / marketer to get business. I want to pay them as a percentage of the gross sales they generate. What is a fair percentage to pay? I expect to charge between $25-$50/hr at first for my services plus potential printing charges as well. Customers range anywhere from weddings to individual portraits, commercial, pets, nudes, real estate or anything that the marketer can get someone to pay to have photographed.
You should charge whatever is viable for your business. Work out the largest percentage you could afford to give. Then start advertising at 10% commission. If you get no luck keep increasing by 5% until you reach your maximum, then if you still can’t find anyone try marketing yourself:) Its pretty easy nowadays with the internet.
