Photography Mac Vs Pc

Mac laptop computer in front of a gateway or aces?
I will be a senior in high school this year, but I'll take some classes in community collage near my house, so I need to get a laptop to write my papers on the go as well. Now all I'm going to use it for things that are normal: Internet: electronic mail (Hotmail and Yahoo) IM, MySpace, games, umm I'm really into photography for we need to have a lot of SPCA and support for some type of photo editing software, not Ness. Photoshop. I need itunes, and some kind of document, program, but thats really is. I'm not going to hack the White House, I will not find a cure for cancer. I just need the basics, and yes I can use linix, which is in my pc, but I really prefer Windows. Thank you very much in advance! the best answer will get the main representatives: D Oh, and whether I'm buying, or my grandparents are buying for me, so is $ 500.00 or less be wonderful, thanks again lol!
$ 500 is definitely not going to get a MacBook and really that price can not get anything substantial.http: / / / laptop reviews.cnet.com reviews /? filter = 1000036_11795388_1101502_13798325_500140_17036547_ These are all ASUS PC and are in all price ranges of 500 and some lower. that are good for the money, but disk space is not very hard, but they are ultra-portable and easy to take go. It would be better to get extra storage space via a flash drive or an SD card though.
