Photography Of People At Work

What is the best laptop to be a student of photography at the Art Institute of Philadelphia?
I'm starting classes Instutute Art in Philadelphia in less than a week and I still have to buy a laptop. Not very smart, I know. But I was wondering if anyone he was there or in any of the Art Institutes of photography. I'm not sure if I should get a Mac or a PC would be fine, probably Dell. I fully appreciate any input!
Well, using Mac The Art Institutes – All of them. Me, I prefer PC, but as a Linux user, both suck in different ways. Contrary to popular belief among the "artists", Mac is not all that paint, and there is no Mac that makes it more suitable for art or artists. http://www.mac-sucks.com/switch_why.php To answer your question, get a laptop that has the right features for 2D and 3D graphics. I use a Lenovo IdeaPad Y510 w / 4 GB of RAM, a processor Intel Core 2 Duo with NVIDIA GeForce 8600M graphics card form (better than Intel graphics card), running Vista Home Premium. It is useful not superior, but it works well and it cost me just under $ 1,000. Allocation has enough memory to handle multiple images simultaneously in Photoshop CS3 – which is all that I care. Since AI used Mac, most of their instruction applies to Mac, especially for keyboard shortcuts. Problems with the differences do not bother me I am accustomed to the way they move from Photoshop using PC and Mac via the corresponding functionality. I'm not just going out of my way to switch to Mac because school I used when I know how to work with my PC either. I do not think that would be a great thing though, to be honest. Instructors often give the instruction mentioning either a PC or Mac functions. The most important part is to get a laptop that works best for you. Again, There's nothing that makes Mac more suitable artists or photographers. Seriously. Do not fall for that nonsense. Cameras and computers are tools. If you can not get around a computer unless Mac, I do not think you're a very good photographer or artist. Sorry, I felt the need to add this because of all the "Yes definitely Mac, because it is for artists, "he replies. Jesus.
