Photography pricing – starting out?
I am in Texas and I am starting out. Not studio work but on site. I am trying to figure out my prices. Do you do a sitting fee and a package ($$??) or a sitting fee and price per sheet?
Always charge a sitting fee.
The danger if you don’t is that customer will only want a single small cheap print and you will be out of pocket.
If you want you can include a 5×7 or 8×10 print in the fee.
Check out some of your local competition and see what they are offering to give you some idea of what sells.
Don’t try and undercut them directly but offer differently priced packages.
