Photography Student Camera

Im looking for an affordable Camera for a college student interested in beginning Photography?

I’m looking to spend anywhere from 75-150 dollars on a decent product. I will go a little above that price range if it means that I will get good quality. I am very new to photography but am interested in it. Please help me find a quality camera!

Scott, find out what the class calls for first.
If you are doing a film class and need a 35mm film camera then the used market and a working k1000 would be your starting point.
K1000, Nikon FM2 are two of the used cameras that were fully manual and did not need a battery to make images.. yes to have the light meter work but worked the shutter and the lens opening with out power needed.

Others that need batteries are Canon AE-1, A-1 The Minolta mentioned above and the SRT 101 an older camera body. You will need to make sure these all work before you spend you money as they are all expensive or unable to be fixed.
