Post Processing Techniques Photography

if I see a post-processing techniques used in some photos, is there any website I say the combo of filters or effects were used? i play with photoshop a lot and have no formal training in photography. I know that diffuse and Gaussian blur are popular and use. but there are still things I have no idea how
photoshop success has to do by changing some parts of the image. What makes to each section of the image depends on what the particular content requires. My advice generally is to learn to make good selections, masks, layers and modes merger application. These are the parts that really help to make the change only effects the image you are focusing on.
