Experience with BW Photography D-SLR?

Every magazine I bought, all the websites you see … GREAT comments SLRs and features that is … but never a mention of BW digital photography. Are modern standards and Nikon have a feature BW? Is there anyone out there have any BW photography experience in today D digital SLR cameras?

While some cameras may have an overlay option to display the image in black and white (I think the Canon 350D/400D can have this), I think the reason I do not see listed as a feature is because most of digital SLR owners are waiting to do the conversions in black and white until the post-processing rather than in-camera. Black and white is not only … black and white. Some people prefer certain types or methodologies at the time of lack and white photography, so why the majority of conversions black and white is made in post-processing in programs like Photoshop or Paint Shop, etc. That this, they argue that great feature of digital SLR that you are in control about almost everything when it comes to a photo. I personally do not like the idea of a camera to any black and white conversions for me because I often switch between "off" conversion of biological weapons and greater contrast, adding noise, etc., and post-processing to wait until it gives me that control. If you search Google for the processes BW conversion, you will find that many of them available, especially in Photoshop.
