Can a member be dismissed out of receiving credit applications?
I work at Dillard's, and while I do my work for each client request credit applications, I rarely there. Apparently I'm not strong enough (mostly because I think the credit card is a joke with their "prizes" and also because I disagree fundamentally with misleading a client in obtaining a credit card). We have a new store manager is very pressing applications and send an email threat everyday of us do not have enough credit applications. I am under the impression that while I am asking, can not be dismissed, but I just want conformation … I need my job, for now, but as soon as my business (picture) gets rolling, including addition, I'm from there …
Unfortunately, you are an employee at will, so it can fire on any day for any reason up. I used work for Blockbuster, and were told that if did not sell x amount of members online each month than we have the ax. The same with Petland – you have to hit a weekly fee or You're fired. I know a lot of jewelry stores have credit card applications that require your salespeople to talk to customers signing for, so I imagine that Dillard's can do the same. My best advice is find another job that will not have that sense is not credited. I agree with you that the cards Credit pushes people are in their worst interest, but the shop wants every nickel and dime they can force people. It is unfair, but may do so: (
